    Step 1 – Take yourself for an explorer.

    Underground walks amateurs or only looking for coolness during the summer, sweetness in winter, this experience in a world with unreal settings is made for you.

    Once you've completed the approach walk to the foot of the cliffs, put your wetsuits on. Immerse yourself in the heart of the Combalou, inside this world hidden under our feet, where time stands still – silence and beauty within easy reach.

    Beginner or expert, Guillaume from ExploNature adjusts himself to your wishes and lets you discover all our natural richness, from horizontal initiation caves to underground cavities. 2 hours where Guillaume will take the time to initiate you to this environment, explaining the formation of the Grands Causses karstic massif and its fragile biodiversity. You're in for a real treat!

    Suggestion for a gourmet break: A picnic at the Roquefort viewpoint indicator or a good meal, the choice is yours!

    Step 2 – Roquefort cellars

    To see and know everything about this cheese of international renown, go down a few steps underground, within the Combalou scree, to discover the mysteries of the “fleurines” and the cheese maturers’ secrets. Discover the origin of the Roquefort Société Cellars formation with a 3D projection, then move on in front of those fissures, called “fleurines” and feel the natural breeze that ventilates the cellars.

    Go off to discover the Lacaune ewes on the Causses path. From the milking to the transformation of the milk into cheese, a movie recounts every step of the Roquefort AOP Société production. Go inside Société Cellars in which takes place the transformation of cheese loaves into Roquefort AOP through contact with stone and woods. The loaves’ aging happens under the watchful and wise eye of Société master cheese ripener.

    The visit is reaching its end. Your guide offers you to discover and taste the three different Roquefort AOP Société. Finally, a showroom lets you relive the Société 160-years history.

    And to round off this hour-long tour, which have given you a better understanding of the Roquefort cheese-making process, head over to the nearby viewpoint indicator to admire the splendid view over the Larzac plateau and the village.
