Anne Dressayre, Manager of the Del Pais grocery shop in Saint-Affrique

Her presentation in a few words

She lends herself to the game of the interview to talk to us about the grocery shop, with passion, greed and zenitude!
With a degree in history, she went into tourism, first as a guide at the Château de Montaigut and then at the Roquefort cellars, before working at the Cap Vert Hotel Complex.
After 15 years in tourism, she wanted to do a job that made sense, in which she believed and shared her values. It is in the creation of her own company that she hopes to find the ideal solution to combine her values and her ambitions.

Consuming less but better

The decision to create Épicerie Del Pais came in 2010, with the desire to actively support local agriculture, the territory and know-how. To carry out her project, she joined forces with Anaelle, a dynamic young woman who was keen to consume locally. The two of them went through the administrative procedures and met with producers. After six intense months, they opened their shop in the centre of Saint-Affrique. The locals were seduced by the idea of buying locally every day of the week.

Over the years, the team has evolved, with Anaelle leaving for the North Aveyron for personal reasons and Stéphanie in 2011, Bruno and Laetitia in 2020 bringing their good humour, advice and skills. It is above all a job with passion, rich in human relations with customers and producers and in line with their values. They have made sure that customers can find everything they need. The products are mainly organic, knowing that the producers are committed to respecting a quality charter.
Meat, fruit and vegetables, dairy products, jams, bread, honey... in a sales area of 90 m2, Épicerie Del Pais offers only local and seasonal products.
Anne and her team are not resting on their laurels, they are adding new products based on handicrafts to expand their shelves. Today, there are more than 100 passionate producers and craftsmen who offer their products and creations.

And for the rest...

At the back of the shop, there is a patio, Anne would like to convert it into a place where everyone can share recipes, tips and knowledge or simply relax! And why not make the place available for courses and workshops.
The team intends to continue to promote the work of all those who work for local agriculture.
