 His presentation in a few words

Lover of nature since always, Rémi discovered the magic of the great spaces, in the Cevennes where, as a child, he spent his free time in the forest. Trees were his favorite playground. Following his studies in STAPS (Licence de sciences et techniques des activités physiques et sportives), he decided to discover the world and travelled for a year and a half in Asia and Oceania. Like many young students, he had to find his vocation by trial and error, with intuition but also with the help of fate. His travels led to a musical career, until he met Eva, his future partner.

The tours are hardly compatible with a life as a couple. He then decided to change jobs and settled in the Vendée with Eva. It is thus quite naturally that he returns to these great natural spaces to share his passion for trees. He got a job as an instructor and course builder in an adventure park. However, this activity moves away from his educational values and protection of the environment. In 2018, he passes the Certificate of Professional Qualification "Educator of Tree Climbing", consistent with his personal beliefs on the preservation of the environment and awareness of the fauna and flora in the tree environment. With his diploma in hand, he created a tree climbing section in an adventure park (Le Grand Défi) in the Vendée.

At the end of 2021, Eva wishes to launch her agricultural project and applies to a call for tenders with the association Terre de Liens. Her project was selected. This is how they settled on the site of Vispens. At the same time, at the beginning of 2022, Rémi launched his micro enterprise, called "À la Croisée des Arbres". The site of Vispens is perfect to carry out the climbing of trees in a raised environment in full nature. This activity combines a double aspect, a character of sensitization to the fauna and flora and a playful character by the movements in the tree. Rémi has at heart to transmit to his customers that the tree is to be considered as a living being to be respected and to perceive its role in the natural environment. He leads his clients to observe the tree and understand how it grows. The installations are nomadic and ephemeral, which makes it possible to change sites easily. This summer, he has concluded several partnerships with local hosts and tour operators. He can also move for events, where the healthy trees allow it, with the agreement of the owners.
Tree climbing, an educational green leisure activity

Rémi invites you to fully immerse yourself in the tree world, while respecting the environment. These installations are gentle (insurance and rope anchors) to preserve the well-being of the tree. An activity that also values group spirit, solidarity, mutual aid and responsibility for others.

The little extra of the activity:

Tree climbing does not require any particular physical ability, which allows us to welcome participants from 6 years old. To make these discoveries accessible to all, Rémi adapts the workshops for participants with disabilities. And for the thrill-seekers, Rémi has set up a spectacular workshop with a pendulum jump, a monkey bridge and a sensational zip line!

And for 2023...

For next year, the adventure continues at night, Rémi will propose the experience in a perched bivouac (tree climbing activity in the afternoon and night in the trees).
