The Pays du Roquefort Tourist Office has been awarded the French Qualité Tourisme™ label  in June 2019 and it has been classified in category I in July 2019.

The ranking in category 1 confirms an ongoing commitment to quality

Through this classification, it is committed to:

  • Make available to you a reception area and an information space which are easily accessible
  • Make your research easier.
  • Provide you with seating furniture.
  • Give you free information about the local tourism offer.
  • Display and circulate the opening periods expressed at least in two foreign languages.
  • Be open a minimum of 305 days a year including Saturday and Sunday during tourist season or activity period.
  • Answer your mails all year round.
  • Providing a continuous reception service with a staff speaking at least two foreign languages.
  • Providing you with access to its trilingual website dedicated and adapted to the use of laptops and smartphones.
  • Providing visitors with paper based tourist maps and tourist guides.
  • Distribute also paper based tourist information translated at least in two foreign languages related to:
    • all graded tourist accommodation with at least name of the facility, postal address, email address, website address, telephone number and grading.
    • monuments and tourist sites (cultural, natural or recreational) with the indication of: current prices, opening periods and hours to the public, website, postal address and telephone number;
    • events and activities;
    • emergency telephone numbers.
  • Annually updating the tourist information.
  • Display outside the emergency telephone numbers.
  • Present the comprehensive and appropriate offer on the area suitable for all types of tourist clienteles.
  • Provide you access to the list of available graded accommodation.
  • Get your claims processed and assess your satisfaction level.
  • Offer a tourist information service including Information and communication new technologies (social networks, mobile telephony, geo-tracking…).
  • Conform to the requirements of the label Qualité Tourisme™.
  • Make a Tourist advisor available to you
  • Ensure the reliability and the currency of the information related to the local tourism offer.

 

The Quality policy of the Pays du Roquefort Tourist Office

This policy is the fruits of the dedication of the Saint-Affricain, Roquefort and 7 Vallons Community of Communes within the regional contractualisation « Grand Site Occitanie ».

It is based on the Community of Communes’ Tourist development strategy, especially axis III: « Organise the tourism performance and strengthen the role of the Tourist Office ».

In order to create the conditions required to meet the tourist challenges of the future, the Tourist Office is committed to a process of improvement to increase its performance level but also and more importantly, to initiate and encourage a virtuous dynamic all over its territory.

The Tourist Office is responsive to the satisfaction of visitors and to the one of its private and public partners, therefore its Quality commitments are not limited to the goal of obtaining the certification, but are the reflection of the local tourism ambition.  

Through the process for obtaining the label Qualité Tourisme™, the Tourist Office aims to achieve the following objectives.

  • Be responsive to the needs of visitors,  provide effective and serene working conditions
  • Encourage the team  members to express their views and increase their skills
  • Question ourselves, experiment, make adjustments to existing processes
  • Adjust the organisation to local issues and to the new professions in the tourism sector

  • Remain attentive to the customer’s needs to direct future actions
  • Take into account the entire consumer pathway to make the territory attractive
